Terms & Conditions

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all Bookings made through/on this Website, as also as made directly over phone/email/through travel websites/travel agents, etcWe request you take a moment to read them prior to making a Booking. By using this Website, you are indicating your acceptance in full of the Terms & Conditions, and you also confirm that you will be legally bound by these.

In these Terms & Conditions the following definitions apply:

Definitions

“Company” or “we” means Madhuvan Prasad Infra Pvt Ltd, whose registered office is at Upendra Nagar, next to Syndicate Bank HO, Manipal 576104, District: Udupi, State: Karnataka, INDIA.

“Booking” means the Booking for accommodation, functions and/or any other services or items made with us.

“Contract” means the Booking and these Terms, and any other terms and conditions stated to apply to the Booking.

“Hotel” means the premises for which your Booking is made.

“Terms” means these terms and conditions.

“Website” means www.hotelmadhuvanserai.com or any other Website owned or operated by us relating to Hotel Madhuvan Serai, Manipal.

“Tax” means the various taxes levied by the central and local governments from time to time.

At the time of Booking or at check-in, we will take your bank/credit/debit card details and you authorise the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us. We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of Booking in certain circumstances or if the Booking includes the supply of certain items or services. No Booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided.

*Important Note: Most of the visitors to Hotel Madhuvan Serai, Manipal, arrive here all year round as this centrally located town in the coastal Karnataka region, is a banking, financial, educational, medical and tourism hub. It is advised that you plan and book well in advance.

Discounts/Special Offers

For Bookings made through our Website, we offer an automatic discount of 15% off the basic fare for seven (7) days and 20% off for 30 days or more. However, such Bookings need to be made at least two months in advance and paid in full via Pre-Bank transfer or through Credit/Debit Card, Internet Banking. Cancellation & Refund Rules (as given below) apply.

Check In/Check Out: 24 hours

We request our esteemed guests to vacate their rooms by the scheduled departure time

We allow a grace period of up to one hour in case of any delay in Check-Out.

Late Check-Out after this time can be requested, subject to availability and will be charged at an hourly rate at the discretion of the Hotel.

One child below eight years allowed free of charge and without any extra bed.

Charges applicable for one extra bed, subject to availability.

In case of “No Show” up to three hours of scheduled Check-In time, reservation stands automatically cancelled. Call, send SMS or e-mail in case there is any delay: if not, rooms may be allotted to others after by treating your Booking as cancelled.

Cancellation & Refund Rules
  1. No refunds for cancellation of rooms booked for Saturdays/Sundays or public holidays.
  2. No refunds in case of cancellation done less than seven days before Check-In date.
  3. Cancellation fees between 7 days and 15 days of Check-In date: 50%
  4. No cancellation fees if cancellation is done before 15 days.
  5. Refund on cancellation is made to remitter’s bank/credit card account only.
  6. All cancellations are calculated on the Check-In time, not Booking date.
  7. On very rare occasions, we may need to cancel your Booking. In such circumstances you will be given a full refund but we shall have no further liability to you arising out of such cancellation. We will, however, use reasonable endeavours to try and re-locate any confirmed Booking cancelled by us to an alternative location similar in standard to our Hotel.
  8. Your Booking is for a class of room in the Hotel and does not guarantee that you will be able to stay in a specific room or in the same room for the duration of your stay. If you have indicated a preference for a particular room while making the Booking, we will use our reasonable efforts to honour this preference. However, we may need to allocate an alternative room to you for operational or safety reasons. If we need to move you to a different room during your Booking for which a lower rate is available than the rate you booked at, we will refund you the difference in the rates.
  9. Some services such as laundry, taxi, valet parking, etc., are outsourced to third parties. We are not to be held responsible for any deficiency in such services and complaints, if any, are to be taken up directly with such third parties.
  10. Your belongings, including but not limited to jewellery, important documents, bag and baggage, etc., are your sole responsibility. We are not held responsible in any way for damage, loss or theft of these.
  11. Foreign nationals are required to deposit their passports with the front office, where they are required to be photographed as per Government of India rules.
  12. NRIs are also required to deposit their passports with the front office.
  13. All guests must have valid proof of identity such as Passport with valid visa page, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Employer’s ID, Voter’s ID Card,
Additional Terms
  1. The Hotel has its own private car park facilities on two levels (basement and ground) and there may be a charge for it. However, during peak season/rush hours, there may be occasions when parking space may not be available for the duration of your stay. Cars and their contents are left at the owner’s/customer’s own risk. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage.
  2. Please be aware that at certain times throughout the year, our Hotel may host weddings, events and parties, which you may feel would be an intrusion on your well-deserved break. While we will try our level best to reduce the inconvenience that may be caused to you, we are not to be held responsible for the same.
  3. We understand that many of you just love pets. We do. However, many of our guests are sensitive about pets; hence, we follow a “No pets” policy, i.e., pets are not allowed in the Hotel.
  4. The Company will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel other than as required under the relevant applicable local laws.
  5. The Company will not be liable for any indirect, consequential or pure economic loss or any loss of profit, goodwill or opportunity (whether caused by the negligence of the Company, its employees, contractor or agents or otherwise). The Company’s total liability shall not exceed the value of the charges received by it under the Contract.
  6. Nothing contained in the Contract or in any other document referred to or incorporated in it shall be read or construed as excluding any liability for death or personal injury caused by the Company’s negligence or liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
  7. While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the Website, the Company does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the Website without notice. Please note that in certain circumstances, generic photographic images have been used to represent the general style of a particular product or Hotel.
  8. The content of the Website is the copyright of the Company, and may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed or amended for any other purpose without our prior written consent.
  9. Trademarks used on the Website are the property of the respective owners. Hyperlinks to third party Website are provided for your convenience. We cannot accept responsibility for the content or use of third party sites.
  10. The Website is operated by the Company.
